Storyboards!

I've been meaning to upload some examples of storyboards/animatics I've done for a while. First up we have a couple scenes I did as part of Storyboarding & Development class through Warrior Art Camp. They feature my own original characters using audio from episodes of "Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and "The Adventure Zone"

Here's an animatic I did for an episode of "Adam Ruins Everything" where Adam transforms into a germ and explains how antibiotics work. This was a fun one!

These two animatics were for "WWE Storytime," where we animated to funny stories told by wrestlers about some of the wild stuff they've done.

These last two were for the web series "After the Credits" where we got to see some of the funny stuff that might happen after the credits roll on popular movies! They used a simple style but I got to make some pretty fun expressions regarless.

Bits & Bobs

Hi folks! It's been a little while since we wrapped on on Beavis & Butthead season 3 but it looks like They're FINALLY going to air it! I spent a year with the amazing people at Titmouse working to put Beavis and Butt-Head season 3 together. (Fingers crossed for a season 4!) Check out the trailer they put out.

Additionally, Here's a couple other freelance projects I got to work on over the last year:

Pokey the penguin is now online! I contributed a few short sequences here for Pig Apple animation, including Pokey getting into and spinning his chair. It was fun to get to do some of the extra animation on this thing. Give it a watch!

I also got to animate a couple of the shots on this video for the Colts with Lowbrow Studios. Cool to see it all put together! (I did Vegas, Huston and Jacksonville.)

Kinda a shame to hear there was some sort of controversy around the video, but hey I just draw'em.

The Boys are back!

Howdy folks! After a brief detour working on stoner comedy The Freak Brothers for Tubi, I am back at Titmouse for Season 3 of Mike Judge's Beavis & Butthead reboot series! Previously on Paramount Plus, these two bozos are now going to be airing on Comedy Central as well, including the movie I worked on, Beavis & Butthead Do the Universe.

I've been mostly doing retake work on the new season so far, as well as a lot (and I mean A LOT) of lip-synching for the other animation studios to reference. I also once again got to fully animate one or two of the new couch gags, so keep an eye out for that. No word yet exactly when season 3 will drop, but I expect it'll be sometime in early 2025.

I'm continually impressed by how funny they manage to make these two knuckleheads. Is it the best example of how to reboot an old cartoon series? (It is.) Stay tuned, and let's hope for a season 4! In the meantime, enjoy some of the funny bits we worked on for Season 2:

Demo Reel 2023

The first two seasons of Mike Judge's Beavis & Butthead are pretty much in the bag at this point, so it's time once again for a new Demo Reel update (now with 30% more dumbness). Also includes footage from Our Cartoon President, Wolf Boy & The Everything Factory, Cyanide & Happiness, The Awesomes, and more!

Beavis & Butthead Do the Universe

It took a few years, but I finally got to come work for the good folks of Titmouse, and on none other than the much anticipated return of 90's legends Beavis & Butthead! The Dumb Duo appear first in the made-for-streaming movie Beavis & Butthead Do the Universe, then continued on to a whole new Steaming series on Paramount +. I got to come on as a Digital Animator for the first reel of the movie, then continue on as a Retake Animator for the rest of the movie & the series as well! Since at this point Washingtonia seems unlikely to ever see the light of day, that makes Do The Universe my first official (released) movie! I also got to work on a few of the "couch gag" shorts on the show, like the ASMR one below. Super stoked to be a part of something this high profile, and especially to get to continue working with such an awesome creative team, albeit remotely. Fingers crossed this is just the beginning!

Announcing: Washingtonia!

I can now tell you that for the last few months I've been working as the Drawn Animation Lead on "Washingtonia" for Late Night Cartoons. It's my first full-length movie production! Similar to "Our Cartoon President," Washingtonia is an out-there political animated comedy that takes jabs at real-world political figures and the messed-up state of out government. It uses a similar animation style to Cartoon President using Adobe Character Animator, while aiming for a more cinematic feel. It will eventually be airing on Comedy Central and Paramount+ some time next year. You can read more about it here!

Update: So it looks like for a variety of reasons, Washingtonia has been shelved and will probably never see the light of day. Topical political comedy can be tricky to pull off sometimes, and not everything makes it through the studio system. Still, my team & I put in a lot of work on this project and I'm proud of what we put together, even if no one gets to see it. I'm going to leave this post here to prove it existed. See you on the next show!

Wolf Boy & the Everything Factory

Howdy folks. It's been a hell of a year, hasn't it? Don't worry, we're still kicking! I want to share a very special project I got to work on this year for Bento Box Studios and Apple TV+: Wolf Boy and the Everything Factory! The show manages a fine balance between being a cute, heart-warming tale of friendship & whimsy, and having an epic struggle between the forces of creation & destruction. More importantly, EVERYTHING about the show is simply gorgeous! It's also relief to finally have a more child-friendly show on my resume I can show my son. (He's already a HUGE fan, by the way.)

I was brought on as a Retake Animator for this show, which means I was part of the team that came in after the first animation pass was finished. That meant the bulk of my time was spent lip-synching & retiming animation to the finalized soundtrack, but there were still plenty of full animation scenes where I was asked to replace, update or punch up the performances on many of the characters. The upshot is I got to touch scenes all over the first 9 episodes, including many of the shots in the above trailer! It's is a nice feeling. It was also interesting how widespread production teams can be now in this age of remote communication. I was a New York Animator working with a studio in Atlanta, coordinating with another team way out in California!

I hope you enjoy watching Wolf Boy as much as I enjoyed working on it. Like I said, you can find it now on Apple TV+. Here's a couple more video features they put out about it, featuring some of the people I was lucky enough to get to work remotely with.
